Privacy Policy — Perpetuing App & Website

Last updated: November 28, 2025

This Privacy Policy explains how Perpetuing (“we,” “us,” “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with:

  • The Perpetuing mobile app (the 365-day devotional and 12-month discipleship journey), and
  • The Perpetuing.com website.

By using the app or visiting the website, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Who We Are

Perpetuing is a devotional and discipleship experience created by Blessing Others to help people walk in continual communion with God. The app focuses on Scripture, prayer, songs, and simple practices that fit into everyday life.

For questions about this Privacy Policy, you can contact us at:

Email: blessingothersmusic@proton.me

2. Information We Collect in the App

The Perpetuing app is intentionally simple and does not use accounts or cloud sync. Most of your data stays on your device.

Depending on how you use the app, we may access or store the following types of information:

a) Devotional & Discipleship Progress (on your device)
  • Which devotional day you last opened
  • Your reading streak or consistent usage
  • The start date you chose for your personal 365-day journey

This information is stored locally on your device using secure storage mechanisms provided by the app framework (such as AsyncStorage or similar). It is not automatically sent to our servers.

b) Personal Notes (on your device)

The app allows you to write personal notes with the Lord, both in the daily devotional and in the discipleship weeks.

  • These notes are stored locally on your device.
  • They are meant for your private reflection and are not uploaded to our servers by default.

If you back up your device (for example, using iCloud or Google backups), those backups may include your notes according to your device or cloud provider’s settings.

c) Favorites

If you “favorite” specific devotionals, that preference is stored locally on your device to help you find them more easily later.

d) Notifications & Reminder Times

If you choose to enable daily reminders:

  • The app stores your chosen reminder time on your device.
  • We schedule notifications through your device’s operating system (iOS or Android).
  • We do not use this for advertising; it is only used to remind you to connect with the Lord through the app.

You can change or disable reminders at any time in the app settings (Today screen) or through your device’s notification settings.

3. Information We Collect on the Website

When you visit Perpetuing.com, we may collect:

  • Basic usage information, such as which pages you visit and how long you stay
  • Technical information, such as your browser type, IP address, and device type
  • Cookies or similar technologies, if enabled, to help us understand how the site is used and to improve the experience

If you submit a contact form, join an email list, or otherwise provide your information on the website, we may collect:

  • Your name (if provided)
  • Your email address
  • Any message you choose to send

We use this information only for the purpose you provided it (for example, replying to your message or sending updates you signed up for).

4. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect solely to:

  • Provide and improve the Perpetuing app and website
  • Help you track your devotional progress and notes on your device
  • Send optional reminder notifications (if you enable them)
  • Respond to your messages or support requests
  • Understand general website usage so we can serve people better

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Third-Party Services

The Perpetuing app may include links to third-party platforms, such as:

  • YouTube (for song or content links)
  • Spotify (for song links)
  • Other music or content providers if included in the future

When you tap a link from the app, your device will open the third-party app or website (for example, YouTube or Spotify). Your use of those services is governed by those providers’ own privacy policies and terms, not by this Privacy Policy.

We may also use limited third-party tools on the website (such as basic analytics) to understand general traffic patterns in a privacy-respectful way.

6. Children’s Privacy

Perpetuing is primarily designed for adults and older teens. However, we recognize that families may choose to read and use the content together.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction) without parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information directly through the website, please contact us so we can remove it.

Because the app stores data locally on the device and does not use accounts, parents or guardians should monitor device use and settings as appropriate.

7. Data Storage & Security

  • In the app: notes, favorites, progress, and settings are stored locally on your device. Protecting access to your device (screen lock, passcode, biometrics) is an important part of safeguarding this information.
  • On the website: if we store any information such as contact form submissions or email addresses, we use reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect it.

No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we seek to handle any data entrusted to us with care and respect.

8. Your Choices

You can:

  • Delete the app from your device to remove locally stored devotional progress, notes, favorites, and settings.
  • Disable or change reminders in the app or in your device’s notification settings.
  • Refuse or clear cookies in your browser for the website, depending on your browser settings.
  • Contact us to request removal of any information you have submitted through the website (such as contact form messages), where technically feasible and legally permissible.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app, the website, or applicable laws. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Significant changes may also be mentioned within the app or on the website.

Your continued use of the app or website after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
