Terms of Use — Perpetuing App & Website

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of:
- The Perpetuing mobile app, and
- The Perpetuing.com website
(collectively, the “Services”). By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app or the website.
1. Purpose of Perpetuing
Perpetuing is a devotional and discipleship experience intended to:
- Encourage Scripture reading
- Support a lifestyle of prayer and communion with God
- Provide reflective content, songs, and simple practices
The content is spiritual and devotional in nature. It is not professional counseling, therapy, medical advice, or legal advice.
2. Eligibility
By using the Services, you represent that:
- You are at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or
- You are using the Services under the supervision and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Parents and guardians are responsible for how their children use the app and website.
3. License to Use the Services
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Download and use the Perpetuing app on a compatible device that you own or control, and
- Access and use the Perpetuing.com website for your personal, non-commercial devotional use.
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive the source code of the app
- Circumvent security or access restrictions
- Use the Services for any unlawful purpose
4. Spiritual & Informational Nature of Content
All content in the Perpetuing app and on Perpetuing.com is provided for spiritual encouragement and informational purposes only.
- It is not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, financial, or legal advice.
- If you are facing a crisis, serious emotional distress, or health emergency, please contact appropriate local professionals or emergency services.
We encourage you to test everything against Scripture and seek the Lord’s wisdom in all things.
5. User Conduct
When using the Services, you agree that you will not:
- Use the Services in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Services or to other systems or networks
- Use the Services to distribute malware, spam, or harmful content
- Use the Services to harass, abuse, or harm another person
Because the app does not have social features or shared content, most user conduct relates to how you access and interact with the Services and any third-party links.
6. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise noted, all content in the app and on the website—including text, design, graphics, songs, images, logos, and code—is owned by Blessing Others or used with permission.
You may:
- Read, listen, and use the content for your personal devotional life
- Share brief excerpts with proper attribution (for example, quoting a sentence with a reference such as “Perpetuing – Blessing Others”)
You may not:
- Copy large portions, reproduce, or distribute the content for commercial purposes without prior written permission
- Claim the content as your own or remove any attribution or copyright notices
7. Third-Party Links & Services
The Services may include links to third-party platforms, such as:
- YouTube
- Spotify
- Other music or content providers
We do not control these third-party services and are not responsible for:
- Their content
- Their privacy practices
- Their terms of use
Your use of those services is governed by the terms and policies of the respective providers.
8. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the Services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not guarantee that:
- The app or website will always be available, uninterrupted, or error-free
- The content will meet every user’s expectations or theological perspective
- Any specific spiritual, emotional, or practical outcome will result from using the Services
You use the Services at your own discretion and risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Blessing Others and its team, contributors, and affiliates will not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or
- Any loss of data, loss of use, or other intangible losses arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Services.
If, notwithstanding these Terms, we are found liable for any damages, our total aggregate liability will be limited to the amount you paid (if any) to use the Perpetuing app or website during the twelve (12) months prior to the event giving rise to the claim, or a minimal amount permitted by law if greater is required.
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations of liability, so certain limitations above may not apply to you.
10. Changes to the Services
We may modify, update, or discontinue parts of the app or website at any time, including:
- Adding or removing features, content, or chapters
- Updating songs or song links
- Fixing bugs, improving design, or adjusting reading plans
We do not guarantee that any particular feature or content will always be available.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Services after any change means you accept the updated Terms.
If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you should stop using the app and website.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Wyoming, United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
You agree that any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Services will be resolved in the courts located in Cheyenne, WY, unless a different forum is required by applicable law.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you are violating these Terms or engaging in behavior that harms the Services or other users.
You may stop using the Services at any time by:
- Deleting the app from your device, and
- Ceasing to visit Perpetuing.com
Certain provisions of these Terms (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability) will survive termination.
